About the Department

Silda Chandra Sekhar College has a separate Department of Physical Education. The Department has been introduced in the academic session 2000 – 2001. Presently, it offers General course. The Department has good collection of books in the central library. The Department has an advanced well-equipped, multi-gym, all outdoor Sports & Games (Track & Field, Football, Vollyball, Netball, Handball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi & Cricket) grounds. The Department deals with the teaching and supportive activities of all students of the college. The Department follows the annual calendar & programme provided by Vidyasagar University. Students of Silda CS College participate in various sports and games like inter college tournament & Non govt. tournament of Vidyasagar University. Every year many students represent Vidyasagar University in east zone & all India inter university tournaments. The Department works with the guidance and advice of the vice-principal other members of the college.
